NFL Tight End, Fmr. Gopher Writes Novel About Memory Loss
MINNEPAOLIS (WCCO) – At 34-years-old, former NFL Super Bowl champion and Minnesota Gopher Ben Utecht suffers from memory loss.
The football player has suffered five concussions while playing with the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals.
Now, he's sharing his story about knowing his memory may have an expiration date.
Utecht wrote "Counting the Days While My Mind Slips Away," as a love letter to his wife and daughters, and as a way to preserve his memories.
