Lakeville PD Adds Officers To Bus Stops After Stranger Approaches Child

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Lakeville police are adding extra patrols to several school bus stops after a report of a child being approached by a stranger.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon on the 20700 block of Hartford Way.

The child told investigators the suspect was an older man who was either white or Asian, and had rotting teeth. He was driving a blue/gray Honda Civic.

Police say they do not think there is a threat to children, but they have increased patrols for “community assurance.”
