Police: Man Attempts To Abduct Child From Bus Stop In NE Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Northeast Minneapolis are warning the community after a man reportedly attempted to abduct a young boy from the bus stop Friday morning.

According to Sgt. Catherine Michal, just before 8:30 a.m. a man pulled up to an 11-year-old boy waiting to go to school on 26th Avenue and Howard Street in Northeast Minneapolis.

The man asked the boy if he needed a ride. The boy responded “no,” and ran home.

Sgt. Michal said the man was described as having blondish-brown hair with some hair on his chin. He was driving a white minivan.

    Wow! That samething happened to my daughter in 2004. 23rd and Howard. Same description of van and man. He said the samething to her but got agressive when she declined. The neighbor chased him off.
