Police: Man Attempts To Abduct Child From Bus Stop In NE Mpls.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Northeast Minneapolis are warning the community after a man reportedly attempted to abduct a young boy from the bus stop Friday morning.
According to Sgt. Catherine Michal, just before 8:30 a.m. a man pulled up to an 11-year-old boy waiting to go to school on 26th Avenue and Howard Street in Northeast Minneapolis.
The man asked the boy if he needed a ride. The boy responded "no," and ran home.
Sgt. Michal said the man was described as having blondish-brown hair with some hair on his chin. He was driving a white minivan.
