Fundraising Walk Raises Money For Children With Apraxia Of Speech

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A fundraising walk took place on Sunday to raise money for children with apraxia of speech.

There were 22 kids with apraxia at Sunday’s event. Apraxia of speech is a disorder caused by brain damage, which causes difficulty producing sounds.

The walk was started in 2008 by a mom who had a son with apraxia. If you’d like to donate, you still can through Monday on the walk’s website.

Dayton and the DFL remind mothers to be that the best way to supply the needed numbers of brain damaged children is patronize our Minnesota alcohol manufacturers and dealers before, during, and after pregnancy. Alcoholism is the Future of Socialist Minnesota. Get your children started early. Give them a head start.

As a side note: To maximize your welfare payments here in the Socialist Village we double your monthly welfare payments for every brain damaged child you can produce; so we encourage all our professional babymommas to work for at least three children with some kind of developmental disability or behavioral disturbance.
