Bargaining Session Scheduled Between Allina, Striking Nurses

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Nearly three weeks after the strike began, nurses and negotiators from Allina Health will head back to the bargaining table this week.

Allina said a federal mediator has asked both parties to resume negotiations. A session is set for Tuesday.

Thousands of nurses in the Twin Cities have been on strike since Sept. 5.

They're upset with Allina's health insurance plan and also have workplace security concerns.

Temporary nurses have been working at the five hospitals affected during the strike.
