4 Things To Do From Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- With autumn in full swing, Rachel Slavik and Mike Augustyniak have four great ideas for how to embrace it!

1. Head out on the slopes! Buck Hill's artificial ski slope is now open. The synthetic surface is certified as having the same gliding surface as snow without using water. It's open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Lift tickets are $32 for adults. Rental equipment is extra.

2. Fans of HGTV will want to head to the Minneapolis Convention Center for the MSP Home and Design Show. Celebrity guest speaker is John Gidding. The event gives you a chance to find interior design trends and home decor items. It goes from 9 a.m. Saturday until 8 p.m. Tickets are $10.

3. Looking for a great deal? Check out Rummage. This event will offer exclusive deals on your favorite Minnesota heritage brands, as well as local and nationally-recognized retailers. There's also live music, craft beer, fair-inspired food and family-friendly activities. Rummage is at the West End Market at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $15 at the door.

4. If you can't make it to the Ryder Cup this weekend, there's another celebration in the west metro. The Lake Minnetonka Ryder Cup Block Party will have food, drinks, live music and golf activities. You can also watch the tournament on a Jumbotron. The free party is from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday night in downtown Excelsior.
