Survey: ATM Fees Hit New High For 10th Straight Year

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Getting your own cash is costing you more. ATM fees hit a new high for a 10th straight year.

According to, the average fee to use another bank’s machine jumped to $2.90, while the fee charged by a consumer’s own bank for going out of network went up to $1.67.

That adds up to $4.57 per withdrawal.

  1. Do as many of us did years ago, and still do. Walk into, or drive up to the bank window and engage with a Human that needs employment, to get the job done. Its free, and one can exercise conversing with a fellow human being, instead paying taxes for use of machines.

    Pay for convenience or plan better. This is a non-issue to me.

    if i run low on cash while I’m out, this will detour me from making a withdrawal.
