Last month, the Seward Cooperative reopened its recently renovated Creamery Café.
In a collaborated effort between the members and the neighborhood, the Creamery Café underwent renovations in order to continue to offer the best service to diners and community members.
The renovation began in June 2016 and completed in September, with the restaurant officially opening on Sept. 12.
After a few weeks of operation under its belt, the Creamery Café is officially celebrating with a Grand Opening week.
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 9, the Creamery Café is hosting a week of activities for diners to come and explore the new space and menu.
The celebration kicks off with a Sonny’s Sunday Social from 1 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 9.
Creamery Café hired Katie Neilson, formerly of Sea Change, The Third Bird and UNION, to be the new Executive Chef , and Tim Johnson, formerly of The Bulldog N.E., Blue Nile and HauteDish, as the Front of House Manager.
A new menu features vegetarian sandwiches, rotating seasonal burgers and brunch. Old favorites will be sprinkled among the new fare. There will also be “grab ‘n’ go” options as well.
The Creamery Café sits in the first floor of the Franklin Creamery building, located at 2601 E. Franklin Avenue. It is open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday – Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday – Saturday.
