Wendy's Worker Accused Of Using Customer's Debit Card

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An employee at a suburban Wendy's restaurant was arrested on the job after allegedly stealing a customer's debit card information.

According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Isaiah Montrell Thomas was an employee at the fast food chain's Rogers location.

A customer reported to police on Oct. 10 that his card had been used without his consent. He had gone to the restaurant's drive-thru window two days earlier and said the employee took his debit card into a back room.

The customer said that he then had unauthorized transactions at Kmart's online store and at a pizza restaurant in Anoka.

Investigators traced the purchases to Thomas, the complaint says. He was then taken into custody when he arrived at work on Tuesday.

He has been charged with two felony counts of financial transaction card fraud. He was previously convicted of first-degree burglary in 2012.
