Target Field To Host NDSU Football Game In 2019

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Twins announced Monday they'll be hosting their first Division I football game in history at Target Field in 2019.

North Dakota State, winners of the last five FCS national titles, will host Butler at Target Field. The game will be played on Aug. 31, 2019. It'll be the first time the schools have faced each other and it will also be the season-opener for both teams.

It will be the first Division I game played at Target Field.

Last week, it became official that MIAC rivals St. Thomas and St. John's will square off at Target Field next September.

North Dakota State has more than 12,000 alumni in the Twin Cities and nearly 26,000 across the state. Ticket information will be announced at a later date.
