Police: Missing Lakeville Family Found; Parents Jailed

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police arrested two parents Tuesday who went missing with their children. The couple and their two children were found in south Minneapolis after they disappeared five days ago.

Zachariah Wilson, 38, and Angela Robinson, 33, face child endangerment charges in connection with the family's disappearance.

Five days ago, Wilson, Robinson and their two children Nolan and Myles disappeared without a trace.

They were last seen Thursday in Lakeville. They dropped off a family member at work and did not return to pick them up. Concerned family members called Lakeville Police.

"As appointments started being missed and things started being more out of the ordinary at that point we enlisted the help of the bureau of criminal apprehension or BCA," Deputy Chief John Kornmann said.

The BCA put out an alert and Lakeville police enlisted the help of St. Paul and Minneapolis officers to do the leg work.

"We were getting a lot tips and we asked Minneapolis and St. Paul police departments to follow up on those leads at times when information was coming in so fast," Kornmann said.

But it was the tip that came in around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday morning that proved vital in the investigation.

Someone noticed four people in a car, next to a loading dock, behind the Cub Food off Lake Street in South Minneapolis. When the car began moving, they called police.

Officers stopped the car in the parking lot of the 3rd Precinct...that's when they took Wilson and Robinson into custody.

"As to what they were doing we are still looking into that, that's part of the ongoing investigation," Kornmann said.

Police say the children, ages 4 and 7, now are OK and with family, but for the last five days they were worried about their safety.

"Right now I am not able to elaborate other than there were some things that we found going on that led us to believe those children were in immediate danger at the time," Kornmann said.

Wilson and Robinson face child endangerment charges. Both are being held at the Dakota County Jail.
