1 Dead, 1 Injured In St. Louis County Rollover Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead and another is injured following a rollover accident in St. Louis County early Thursday morning.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, around 12:45 a.m. authorities responded to a one car crash on Highway 21 in Morse Township.

Upon arrival, officers learned the car was traveling north on Hwy. 21 when it left the road, over turned in a ditch and hit a power pole.

One of the car's occupants, 21-year-old Jacob Forsman, of Ely, left the car and came into contact with the live electrical wire. He was killed on the scene.

The other occupant, 22-year-old Carter Manning, of Beaver Bay, suffered injuries and was taken to Ely Hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation.
