Police Search For Suspects After Woman Found Shot In Vehicle In North Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are searching for a suspect after a woman died from gunshot wounds in North Minneapolis Friday night.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, around 11 p.m. officers responded to a call of gunshots heard in the area of 36th And Queen Avenues North. While en-route, the call was updated to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a woman inside a car suffering gunshot wounds.

She was taken to North Memorial Medical Center, where she later died.

Investigators spoke with people in the area and officers canvassed the neighborhood but have not released information on a possible suspect.

A source told WCCO the victim's name is Dana Logan.

Logan's death marks three homicides in as many days in north Minneapolis.

The daughter of Birdell Beeks, a grandmother fatally shot in the city earlier this year, has started a petition to place cameras near ShotSpotters on the north side.
