Trump Hits Campaign Trail In Eau Claire, Wis.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WCCO) -- It's the final week until Election Day.

Republican nominee Donald Trump stopped at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire to deliver his message to voters.

"To all Americans, I say: It is now time, finally, for new leadership, for change," Trump told the crowd.

Donald Trump says getting rid of Obamacare is his top priority, criticizing its rising premiums at the rally. He also told voters a President Clinton will likely face a lengthy investigation and criminal trial over her use of a private email server while she served as Secretary of State.

"If she were to be elected, it would create an unprecedented constitutional crisis," Trump said at the rally, "and the work of government would grind to an unbelievably unglorious halt."

Trump predicted a Wisconsin win and said he's doing "fantastically well" in Minnesota. He also hammered Minnesota's skyrocketing premiums for those using MNsure.

"The Democratic governor has just said, 'the Affordable Care Act in Minnesota is no longer affordable,'" he reminded the crowd.

Thousands lined up early to get into the small venue at UW-Eau Claire. The crowd included protesters and Hillary Clinton supporters. They were separated by street barriers outside the arena where the rally is being held. The crowd went home feeling pumped up.

One UW-Eau Claire freshman said with a week to go before Election Day, he remains undecided.

"I was originally going to vote for Hillary but now, like looking at it, I'm more going to the undecided route because of hearing everything that's happened with her and looking at how controversial she is and seeing how I really don't think she can be trusted that much because of all the lying she's done," Ryan Guenther said. "Now am I saying that Trump can be trusted? No. I don't trust politicians."

There are very few of those types of voters left, but that is who Trump is going after. People who maybe have made up their minds but aren't sure, and people who haven't made up their minds.

Vice presidential candidate Mike Pence also joined Trump at Tuesday night's rally at UW-Eau Claire.
