Body Found Of Man Who Went Missing While Canoeing On Leech Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say the body has been found of a man who went missing after his canoe capsized on Leech Lake.

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch says the body of 66-year-old Kenneth Gale of Federal Dam was found Nov. 1 at 8 a.m.

According to the Cass County Sheriff's office, just before 7 p.m. Oct. 25, authorities responded to a call of an overturned canoe on the east side of Leech Lake near Sugar Point.

Gale had been in the canoe.
