Hudson Wins Re-Election For Minnesota Supreme Court

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Justice Natalie Hudson was re-elected in the race for a seat on Minnesota's highest court.

Justice Hudson won over Minneapolis attorney Michelle MacDonald in Tuesday's election for Minnesota Supreme Court.

Justice Hudson has served on the Minnesota Supreme Court since August 2015. Prior to taking her seat on the Supreme Court, she served on the Court of Appeals.

Hudson was chosen by Gov. Dayton to take Justice Alan Page's spot when he retired.

MacDonald is a Minneapolis-based attorney. She has had no prior experience serving on a higher court, but did run a campaign for Supreme Court in 2014.

According to MinnPost, an incumbent hasn't lost a re-election bid since the 1940s.
