MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A hunter who went missing in St. Louis County Thursday evening was found safe in Portage Township.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, around 7 p.m. officers received a call from a hunting party who said one of their hunters did not return.

The caller said 72-year-old Ronald Freundl was hunting near Echo Rapids Road when he went missing.
