'SNL' Lampoons Thanksgiving Misery In Faux Target Spot

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Last year, it was Adele's "Hello" that brought families together during the rough political minefield that is the family Thanksgiving dinner table.

This year, the long-running comedy sketch show "Saturday Night Live" took a different tack, and invited Twin Cities-based Target along for the ride.

In a fake Target holiday commercial, complete with spare backgrounds and the same distinctive Helvetica Neue bold font, the sketch entices customers to come for all their last-minute holiday needs.

Bakeware? No problem.

The turkey? They've got you covered.

Just need to get away from your relatives' political opinions for a little while? Park your car in the store's lot and just sit for a while.

The skit also goes on to make light of all the attention-diverting opportunities that exist within the store's aisles.
