Snow Emergency Rules In Effect In Minneapolis, St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Snow emergency rules are in effect in Minneapolis and St. Paul after a weekend snowstorm dumped more than 6 inches of snow on parts of the Twin Cities metro area.

Cars in violation of the snow emergency rules are subject to being ticketed and towed. So, if you're in the Twin Cities, be careful where you park Monday morning.

Below are a few details about snow emergency rules in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Minneapolis

Day Two parking rules will begin Monday morning in the City of Lakes. This means that after 8 a.m., parking is prohibited on the even sides of the street. Once that side of the streets are cleared, however, parking is allowed.

On Tuesday, parking will be prohibited on the odd sides of city streets.

If you get towed, it'll cost $130 to get your car out of the impound lot. An additional $18 will be added on to your bill for each day the car sits in city custody.

On top of that, you'll also have to pay a parking ticket.

St. Paul

Beginning at 8 a.m., all Day Routes will be plowed in St. Paul. Those parked on designated Day Routes will be ticketed and towed.
