Woman Killed After Crashing Into Tow Truck In Dakota County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman is dead after her car hit a tow truck on the shoulder of a Dakota County highway.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the tow truck was responding to a previous crash on the left shoulder of I-494, where it was stopped. Woodbury resident Lynn Stackpole, 53, was driving a Honda CR-V on the highway when it struck the right-rear part of the tow truck.

Investigators say Stackpole died in the crash while the tow truck driver suffered no apparent injury.
