Mayor Hodges Announces Plan To Run For Reelection
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Mayor of Minneapolis just announced she's running for reelection.
That makes two candidates for the job so far.
Mayor Betsy Hodges made her announcement to run for a second term in the Phillips neighborhood Thursday.
Hodges won in 2013 against a crowded field.
Her only opponent so far is former Minneapolis NAACP President Nekima Levy-Pounds.
Levy-Pounds has been harshly critical of Hodges and Minneapolis police after the 2015 shooting death of Jamar Clark.
