Woman Killed In Suspected Drunk Driving Crash In Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash that left one woman dead Friday night in Minneapolis.

Police say the woman was driving eastbound on 29th Avenue North when she was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Newton Avenue North at about 6 p.m.

The victim's car then hit a tree. Police say a 28-year-old man fled the scene but returned and was arrested.

Officers obtained a search warrant for a blood test. The man has not yet been charged.
