MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two people are safe but their pet is missing following an early Friday morning fire in Mound.

According to fire officials, the fire occurred just before 12:30 a.m. on the 6000 block of Evergreen Road. It began in the back of the house near the gas meter. The gas company did have to come out and shut off the gas to the home.

The two people living there made it out OK, but are missing a pet.
