Despite Drop In Smoking Rates, Nearly 1 Billion Still Light Up Daily
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – For decades, research has been done about how bad smoking is for people's health.
But, plenty of people are still lighting up. Nearly a billion people around the world continue to smoke tobacco on a daily basis.
A new report in The Lancet finds a significant drop in the rate of smoking over the past 25-years.
But still, one out of every four men, and one out of 20 women, smokes every day.
