Police: 1 Dead After Shooting Near State Capitol

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are investigating after a shooting near the Minnesota State Capitol left a man dead Saturday afternoon.

According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers responding to a report of a shooting found a man with a gunshot wound on the 200 block of Aurora Avenue around 2:45 p.m.

Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

Police did not identify the victim. The shooting remains under investigation.
