Study: Lunching Out Eating Into Your Potential Savings

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Going out for lunch can be a great way to break up your day, but it can also cost you a lot that you could be saving.

A survey by VISA shows Americans have lunch out two times a week.

The average cost for a meal is just above $11.

VISA says if a person put that $1,043 spent each year into an investment account earning 6 percent, have about $88,500 saved in 30 years.
