Lowry Tunnel Project, Lane Closures Begin

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If your commute takes you through downtown Minneapolis, prepare for some construction along the way.

The Lowry Hill Tunnel project started this weekend. It is now down to two lanes of traffic in both directions in just one tunnel.

Semi-trucks aren't allowed to drive through the tunnel, and the speed limit is 40 miles per hour. The Lowry Hill project should wrap up by mid-September.
