Sheriff: Child In Kayak Hit By Boat On Medicine Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a child was hospitalized after being hit by a boat on a lake in the west Twin Cities metro Friday afternoon.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office responded to Medicine Lake Friday afternoon. When officers arrived, they learned a child was riding in a kayak when he was struck by a boat. Authorities say the child suffered minor injuries, mainly bumps and bruises.

The boy was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
