Family Dog Dies In Minneapolis House Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fire officials are investigating a house fire in North Minneapolis.

It happened around midnight on the 2800 block of 8th Avenue North.

Everyone got out of the home safely, but fire gutted the first floor and made its way to the attic.

According to crews on the scene, the family did lose their dog in the fire.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
