Study: Rotten Tomatoes Doesn't Affect Box Office Revenue

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- If a movie gets a bad review, are you less likely to see it? A new study shows one popular review site doesn't have much of an impact.

The study focused on the site Rotten Tomatoes.

The researchers compared the scores on the site to the box office returns of all 150 films released this year that earned more than a million dollars.

The study showed the film's score had neither a positive or negative impact on the box office revenue.
