MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Three people were injured Sunday night when a car struck a bear on Interstate 35 in central Minnesota.

The State Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m., just north of Rock Creek. A Toyota Yaris struck a bear, veered off road and slammed into the center median.

The 42-year-old driver and two passengers – ages 16 and 12 – suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

All were wearing seatbelts.
