Bullet Fragment Hits Police Cadet's Face During Training
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A police cadet was stuck in the face by a bullet fragment while training in Brooklyn Park Friday.
Police say the accident happened during a target practice session at the Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Education Center.
The cadet accidentally shot a piece of metal that was holding up their target, and part of that bullet ricocheted. They suffered minor injuries.
Police say while this was an unusual incident, ricochets can happen on occasion during target practice.
