State Patrol: Snow, Ice Causes Hundreds Of Crashes Statewide
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Sunday's snow led to some early Monday headaches on Twin Cities roads.
Among the crashes and spinouts reported overnight, a semi truck jackknifed in St. Paul.
The incident happened at the Marion Street-Kellogg Boulevard exit.
The exit was shut down for awhile as crews worked to clear the scene.
A number of snow emergencies have been declared around the state, and some schools were also reporting delays Monday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says from midnight to 4 p.m., there were 688 crashes statewide. There was a fatal crash in Thief River Falls and one with serious injuries in Eagan, and 59 injury crashes. There were also 444 vehicle spin-outs or cars going off the road, and nine semi-trucks that jackknifed.
