O'Gara's To Be Torn Down, Rebuilt As Part Of Apartment Building

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After nearly eight decades on a busy St. Paul corner, a popular bar is ready to make some changes.

The third generation owner of O'Gara's plans to tear it all down and rebuild on Selby and Snelling avenues.

The proposed redesign of the building includes apartments, a co-working space and the restaurant.

The charm of the bar won't go away.

Owner Dan O'Gara says the tin ceilings and iconic ceiling fans will be used in the new building.
