Suspended Vikings WR Simpson In More Trouble

Suspended Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jerome Simpson is facing misdemeanor charges of driving on a limited driver’s license, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and having an open bottle in a motor vehicle. Rick Hart, deputy police chief for the city of Bloomington, Minn., confirmed Thursday that Simpson was cited but not arrested July 7.

Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding has a broken right foot, putting him out indefinitely. The Wild announced Wednesday the injury was suffered in an off-ice incident. The team said Harding was hurt Sunday but did not specify how.

Nike Suspends Contract With AP, Target Pulls Merchandise

Nike announced Wednesday that it would be suspending its contract with Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson in light of his recent child abuse charges. “Nike in no way condones child abuse or domestic violence of any kind and has shared our concerns with the NFL,” a press representative for the company said.
