Programs On Stereotyping Planned For Washington Game At TCF

The University of Minnesota is announcing several days of programs to increase awareness of racial stereotyping ahead of next month’s Vikings-Redskins football game on campus. University officials have said they’re working with the Vikings to keep the Redskins’ name from being used when the two teams play at TCF Bank Stadium on Nov. 2. That situation hasn’t been resolved yet.

Smith’s Ankle Injury Adds To Vikings’ List

Minnesota Vikings free safety Harrison Smith has an injured left ankle that had him with a walking boot and crutches Friday. Smith played through the injury Thursday at Green Bay, but he had the ankle taped several times throughout the night. Coach Mike Zimmer said Friday that Smith had an MRI test that showed no major damage but that it was too soon to determine his availability for the next game. The Vikings host Detroit Oct. 12.

Team Grades: Minnesota Vikings Play Worst Game Of The Season In Green Bay

The Minnesota Vikings may not have been able to play a worse Thursday in Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. The surrendered the first 42 points and could only muster 10 points in garbage time in the fourth quarter. Their is very little positive things to say about the game for the Vikings.

Vikings Sign QB Chandler Harnish To Active Roster

With Matt Cassel out for the season and Teddy Bridgewater’s status still uncertain for Thursday night’s game, the Minnesota Vikings signed another quarterback to the active roster. On Thursday afternoon, the team announced that two-year veteran Chandler Harnish was signed to the active roster from the practice squad. Wide receiver Rodney Smith was released to make room for Harnish.
