Alison Lorge is the digital content manager and blogger at WCCO. She started at the station in 2006 and created her consumer blog The Good Life For Less in 2009. She has won three Emmy Awards and an Edward R. Murrow Award for her work with her web team on WCCO.COM.
Alison grew up in the Twin Cities and graduated from Kennedy High School in Bloomington where she discovered her love for television while working on her school’s daily news program.
She went on to the University of Minnesota where she graduated with a degree in Journalism. While at the ‘U’ she also worked as a photographer for the magazine “The Wake” and interned at Fox 9.
After graduation and before coming to WCCO, she worked in Rochester, Minn. and helped launch the 5 p.m. news for NBC-affiliate, KTTC, as the show’s first producer and she also worked as the 9 p.m. show producer for the FOX- affiliate, KXLT.
In her spare time, you can find her watching movies, hanging out with family and friends, and exploring the great outdoors by camping, hiking, and traveling with her husband, Brandon.
Of course, she is always looking for good deals to share with her blog readers too. If you have any ideas that you would like to pass on e-mail Alison.
