Blois Olson

Blois Olson has been at the forefront of online political coverage and commentary in Minnesota for many years and has brought his knowledge to WCCO Radio.

Blois has built a trusted following of listeners, readers and fans on TV, radio and online. He co-founded MN-Politics in 1998 and has provided political and public affairs analysis to nearly every media outlet in Minnesota and national media that cover the Midwest.  He is the former co-publisher of Politics In Minnesota and “Politics in Minnesota: The Directory.”

A Minnesota native, Blois’ love of current affairs was born during his job as a newspaper carrier for the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Dispatch. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, where he studied political science and journalism.

In addition to providing a daily political voice on WCCO Radio, Blois has provided his analysis on CNN, MSNBC and National Public Radio and in the New York Times, Newsweek, Newsweek-Asia and Agence Press France. He is also a regular contributor to “Almanac” and “at Issue”.

Blois was an executive vice president at Tunheim Partners, a strategic communications firm in Bloomington.  He left in 2012 to start his own marketing company, Fluence Media.  He is married, has two children and lives in Hopkins.
