Dave has been with WCCO Radio for more than 25 years, nominated as one of the Top 5 Major Market Morning Hosts nationwide. He has also won Murrows, Associated Press awards and six consecutive Minnesota Broadcaster of the Year awards. When he was Program Director at KFGO, they won the prestigious Peabody Award.

Dave contributes both his time and talent to several charities. Dave’s annual Friday morning bowling tournament, “Gutter Bowl,” has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities. Dave and his wife Julie fund a scholarship at the University of Minnesota Journalism School. Dave has been honored nationally by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and also by the Minnesota Military Family Tribute. For 13 years has hosted the Drive for Kids for Bolder Options -youth mentoring, and raised funds to adopt a room at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital. Dave is also actively involved with the Federated Challenge for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Minnesota.

Dave is the award-winning voice of the University of St. Thomas football team, including 2 different awards for his call of last year’s national championship game. Dave spent 13 years with the University of Minnesota football and basketball programs and five years as a play-by-play fill-in announcer for the Minnesota Twins. He was a part of the 1991 World Series broadcasts. Dave has also been the TV broadcaster for the Minnesota High School League State football and basketball tournaments for several years and has been awarded three Emmys.

Dave and Julie live in the Twin Cities metro area and are the parents of three children and now a grandchild.
