John Vomhof Jr.

John Vomhof Jr. has been a reporter at the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal since September 2004. While well-versed on a range of Minnesota companies and industries, his coverage focuses primarily on retail, hospitality, sports business and advertising/marketing. He has received 12 Page One Awards from the Society of Professional Journalists-Minnesota Chapter.

John has contributed to the WCCO Morning New with Dave Lee since August 2007, providing a local business report every weekday at 8:45 a.m.

A Twin Cities native, John attended the University of Minnesota. He’s an avid sports fan, rooting for all of the local sports teams (and several fantasy football teams). He lives in New Hope with his wife Meghann and their Boston terrier Moose. John and Meghann are expecting their first child in late February.
