Body Of Missing Eagan Teen Found In Wooded Area

The body of a missing 19-year-old man from Eagan has been found. Elijah Buchannan went missing two weeks ago after police say he fled home after a family disturbance. Dakota County Authorities found his body in a wooded area of Patrick Eagan Park Saturday. His mother, Melanie Buchanan, says they found him less than a half mile from his home.

Golden Valley Mayor: Sorry For Insensitive City Council Meeting

Health advocates are speaking out after a Twin Cities suburb voted down a permit to open a mental health facility for teenagers. “Lifespan,” which treats clients for ADHD, schizophrenia and autism disorders, wants to open a facility in a vacant property along Pennsylvania Avenue in Golden Valley, but council members voted down a permit this week after neighbors voiced safety concerns. Mayor Shep Harris apologized Saturday for the hurtful comments made during the council meeting.

Season Of Hope: The Lemkes Of Belle Plaine

All December long, WCCO’s been making the season brighter for families whose stories touched us this year. Earlier this month, a fire destroyed the Lemke family’s barn in Belle Plaine. They lost their kids’ outdoor toys and some special chickens that were used as therapy for their son’s ADHD. We invited the Lemkes to WCCO in downtown Minneapolis for a Christmas surprise we hope they’ll never forget.
