A man accused of killing a St. Paul woman and putting her body in the trunk of a car now faces charges in another murder case. Eighteen-year-old Brittany Clardy was found in a car hidden under blankets at an impound lot in Columbia Heights last February.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says the 24-year-old Georgia woman found dead in a trunk last month died as a result of “homicide by unspecified means.” The medical examiner confirmed the body was that of Klaressa Lorayne Cook, of Gaynesville, Ga.
A man, previously indicted for murdering a St. Paul teen and stashing her body in the trunk of a car, is now a suspect in a similar murder of a 24-year-old woman, according to police.
An Anoka County grand jury indicted a 23-year-old man for the first-degree murder of a St. Paul woman who was found in a Columbia Heights impound lot in February.
