A 26-year-old woman was sentenced Wednesday to more than six years in prison for stabbing a man to death with a grill fork and kitchen knives last Fourth of July, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Alison Ann Brown, a member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for one count of voluntary manslaughter in the death of Byron Lussier Sr.
A 25-year-old Red Lake woman was arrested Sunday after being charged murder in Minneapolis Federal Court in the death of Bryan James Lussier. Alison Ann Brown has been charged with one count of murder in connection with the case and is currently in police custody.
