A former Minneapolis Police officer was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for using social media to prey on young girls. He admitted to posing as a younger man in his 20s, even though he was a decade older and married with children.

Former Mpls. Cop Faces Sentencing In Criminal Sexual Conduct Case

A former Minneapolis Police officer will be sentenced Monday afternoon for using social media to prey on young girls. Bradley Schnickel, 33 of Andover, pleaded guilty in Anoka County Court back in February to charges of criminal sexual conduct, attempted criminal sexual conduct and engaging in electronic communications relating to or describing sexual conduct with a child.

Man Pleads Guilty To Filming Boys Changing At Local YMCAs

A Coon Rapids, Minn. man pleaded guilty this week to stalking a minor with sexual or aggressive intent after he allegedly filmed boys changing clothes at the Andover YMCA, according to the Anoka County Attorney’s office. Robert Dennis Minor, 54, was also charged in March 2013 with four counts of possession of pornographic work involving minors and two counts of use of minors in a sexual performance.

One person was killed and another was hurt after a shooting in Andover, Minn. overnight. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the 2200 block of 138th Lane Northwest at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Man Killed In Mpls. Restaurant Shooting ID’d

Officials have identified the man killed Monday morning in a shooting at a Lake Street restaurant. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office said 32-year-old Luis Alejandro Torres-Sanchez, of Andover, Minn., died at La Que Beuna Restaurant shortly after 1:30 a.m. His cause of death is listed as multiple gunshot wounds.
