A St. Paul woman has been charged with animal cruelty after she allegedly dumped two puppies – one of them dead – into an animal hospital’s recycling dumpster in May. According to the criminal complaint, 47-year-old Anna Bertha Robole is accused of discarding the dogs behind the Scenic Hills Animal Hospital in St. Paul.

Warrant Issued For Mpls. Man Suspected Of Cockfighting

A warrant has been issued for a Minneapolis man who was charged with cruelty to animals in connection with a cockfighting ring. Minneapolis Police and Minneapolis Animal Control seized several roosters, chickens, hens and cockfighting paraphernalia from a home at 3502 Newton Ave. N. in Minneapolis on Jan. 10, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s office.

A Monticello, Minn. man with a history of drug abuse and mental illness skinned and baked his pet cat on Monday afternoon because “he wanted to try cooking it with onions,” charges state. Cody Alexander Mann, 28, has been taken into custody and now faces felony charges of cruelty and torture of an animal.
