Ramsey Man Kills Himself 2 Days Before Child Sex Abuse Trial

A 46-year-old Ramsey man accused of sexually abusing several children in the north Twin Cities metro committed suicide Saturday, according to authorities. His trial was scheduled to begin Monday.

Crews Battle Grass Fire In Ham Lake

Police: Gun Used In Accidental Teen Shooting, Suicide Was Stolen

We now know more about where a Coon Rapids teenager got a gun used to accidentally shoot his girlfriend, then take his own life. Alantae Arnold’s girlfriend told police he was playing with a .357 Magnum when he accidentally shot her on March 9. Police tell WCCO the gun was stolen from a Coon Rapids home.

A 43-year-old woman is in custody after a disturbance led to a fire at a residence in Fridley early Sunday morning, according to the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. Officers with the Fridley Police Department were called at about 4:55 a.m. to a disturbance on the 1000 block of North Circle.

Two Ramsey Police officers and the man they shot and killed outside of a daycare Thursday afternoon have all been identified. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident, which began after a daycare worker called police to report a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot.

Police officers subdued a 22-year-old man who began to cut his own throat after he was suspected of brutally assaulting his girlfriend Saturday. Authorities: Runaway East Bethel Teen May Be Endangered

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public help in locating a missing 15-year-old girl who ran away from her East Bethel home last week. On June 16, it was reported that Stephanie Anne Rufsholm voluntarily ran away from her home and hasn’t contacted her family since that day. She was last seen in Forest Lake with other teens.

Crews are on the scene of a large fire north of the Twin Cities late Thursday morning that is affecting two homes, and there are no immediate reports of injuries. Fire officials were called to the 22000 block of Zion Parkway late Thursday morning and by the time crews arrived, the blaze had spread to a structure to the north.
