Percy Harvin did not practice all week and is as doubtful for Sunday’s against the Detroit Lions. His absence would leave a huge hole in an already anemic passing offense. The only other injured player listed as worse than probable is defensive tackle Letroy Guion.

The month began with a lopsided impressive win over the Tennessee Titans at home. The Minnesota Vikings only have one practice this week before facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Thursday at Mall of America Field. Tight end John Carlson and running back Adrian Peterson were the only players to miss practice. Carlson is not expected to play, but Peterson is.

Mistral Raymond Returns To Practice For The Minnesota Vikings; Jared Allen and Adrian Peterson Both Expected To Play

The Minnesota Vikings only have three players listed as questionable or worse on the injury report. Jared Allen and Adrian Peterson both missed at least one practice this week, but both are expected to play and start. Mistral Raymond was injured during the Week 3 win over the San Francisco 49ers. He returned to practice, but will not play Sunday.

The Minnesota Vikings had four of its best offensive players on its injury report this week. Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder have been on the injury report in previous weeks, but Percy Harvin and Jerome Simpson were new this week. Harvin was injured during practice this week and Simpson felt leg weakness and numbness prior to the win over the Tennessee Titans.

Antoine Winfield is the oldest member of the Minnesota Vikings, yet he remains one of the most consistent tacklers on the team. Sunday’s win over the Tennessee Titans was the first game he was active but did not start since the 2009 season – prior to that one game as a backup, he was a reserve just twice in 2004.

The Minnesota Vikings improved to 4-1 with a dominating 30-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans at Mall of America Field. Percy Harvin had two touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving. Christian Ponder threw his first two interceptions of the season, but responded with two touchdown passes.

Injuries Are Starting To Mount For The Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have been fortunate to avoid any major injuries. Linebacker Erin Henderson has missed two games with a concussion, but he is expected back soon. Safety Mistral Raymond injured his ankle and may be a couple weeks away from returning. The Vikings have however suffered several other day-to-day minor injuries.
