The Minnesota State Patrol is looking for new troopers. According to the state patrol, the department is looking for troopers who are reflective of the communities that they serve and have non-traditional backgrounds.
The Minnesota State Patrol is looking for a few good men and women to hit the state’s highways. The patrol is hiring a new round of State Troopers, in part to replace many who are retiring. Trooper Lee McClure says the job is all about keeping motorists safe, including from drivers breaking the law like those who try to text while driving.
MNsure is releasing some tips they hope will help frustrated Minnesotans troubleshoot through its health insurance marketplace website. John Schadl, spokesman for MNsure, says they have gathered several common questions that operators at their call center are asked daily. The original deadline for enrollment was Monday, Dec. 23, but that deadline was extended to Dec. 31 after complaints of ongoing challenges that people faced while trying to enroll under the new federal health care law.

Several Minnesota counties will start accepting marriage license applications Thursday for same-sex couples. Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties will start taking applications at 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
