The former mayor of the small Stearns County city of Richmond has been arrested and released. Scott Kron is under investigation for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from the town’s baseball association. Kron resigned his office earlier this summer citing health and personal reasons.

A Little Canada chiropractor accused of sexually assaulting a patient still has an active license to practice. That means right now he’s still allowed to see patients during the investigation. Paul Thompson was arrested two weeks ago after a patient told police he raped her and had touched her inappropriately before.

Police: Man Arrested In Beating Death Of Woman Found In St. Louis Park

Police say they’ve arrested a man in connection with the death of a 46-year-old woman, whose body was found wrapped in a sheet along Cedar Lake Road on Tuesday. St. Louis Park police have 54-year-old Walter Thompson III, of Minneapolis, in custody. Police said he had been involved in a long and violent relationship with the victim, Nerissa Annette Shaw, 46, of Minneapolis.

St. Cloud police are investigating after a 72-year-old woman died early Saturday morning from multiple stab wounds. Authorities were called to the scene at 3:58 a.m. on Saturday at the 400 block of 33rd Avenue South. Lois Arlene Omeara was found dead, and Dean Allan Friese, 52, of St. Cloud, was arrested and booked at the Stearns County Jail on homicide charges.

Police: Man Arrested After Officer-Involved Shooting In St. Paul

St. Paul Police say a 53-year-old suspect was shot Sunday night and suffered non-life threatening injuries after an officer’s life was in danger during an attempted arrest. Authorities were in the area of Earl Street North and Germaine Avenue East attempting to arrest Reginald Craig Sutherlin, who had active warrants and was suspected in a felony domestic assault case.
